South Tarn Gites, Near Lautrec Village in the Tarn
Two Gites (4 and 3 stars) Tarn region of South West France, Nr Lautrec Village. Sleeps 2 and 4 in a rural hamlet. Castres, Realmont and Albi closeby. Outdoor activities include cycling/walking trail, golf, horse-riding, sailing, swimming, canoeing and nature trails. Free WiFi, Satellite TV,CD,DVD.
The perfect location for lovers of the countryside. A short stroll down the drive leads to circular walks and a cycling trail is closeby linking, Castres and Albi.
There are two gites. Rossignol (3 Stars) has 2 bedrooms, one with a balcony and sleeps 4. Martinet (4 stars) is a large gite for 2 people with ensuite bedroom (could sleep more people for a small extra charge).
Both have spacious open plan kitchen/dining/living space,terraces and bbq areas. Facilities include Satellite TV,CD,DVD and FREE WiFi. Bicycles available. Linen provided.
The nearby medieval bastide village of Lautrec has restaurant Au Coq en pâte, cafes, bars, shops, Aquaval outdoor swimming pool a great day out for families. Regular summer events and free live entertainment in Lautrec and nearby towns. Just a short drive away are Castres and Realmont both have market days, on Saturday and Wednesday. This is a great place to stay for families of all ages.
Gaillac is the home of the local wine. In the month of August you can blend music with wine tasting at Gaillac's music festivals.
Albi (30kms) the capital city of the Tarn region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its also home to the world famous Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, housing a major collection of the artist's work.
