South Tarn Gites is situated near Lautrec village, classified as one of the "Plus Beaux Villages" in the Tarn, South West France. It's a perfect location for lovers of the countryside. A short stroll down the drive is a circular walking and cycling trail; closeby is a bridle path linking local towns, Castres and Albi.
The nearby medieval bastide village of Lautrec has bars and shops, Aquaval outdoor swimming pool. Regular summer events and free live music evenings in Lautrec and nearby towns. Just a short drive away is Castres and Realmont both have bustling market days on Saturday and Wednesday. Its a great place to stay for families of all ages.
Albi (30kms) the capital city of the Tarn region has the largest red brick built cathedral in Europe. Its also home to the famous Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, housing a major collection of the artist's work.
South Tarn Gites has two self catering apartments. The first gite has 2 bedrooms, one with a balcony and sleeps 4. The second is a large gite for 2 people with an ensuite bedroom (could sleep more people for extra charge).
Both have spacious open plan kitchen/dining/living space,terraces and bbq areas. Facilities include Satellite TV,CD,DVD and FREE WiFi. Bicycles available. Linen provided.
