South Tarn Gites a self catering holiday
South Tarn Gites is a self catering holiday, in South West France, situated in a tranquil hamlet, near Lautrec village with shops restaurants and bars.
The owners, Tom and Sheda Savage, live on site and are available to assist you.
THE FARMHOUSE
The property, originally a farmhouse, was first built in the 18th century. Set in 1.75 acres of land including large garden/orchard to relax in, On the south side there are views to the Montagne Noire behind which are the Pyrenees; to the westside are open views over the orchard towards Lautrec village. To the east is our vegetable field with more fruit trees!
THE GITES
Gite 1 sleeps four and has two bedrooms (one with a balcony). It has open plan kitchen, dining and living area and a full bathroom suite.
Winter lets : Electric heating charged separately at standard EDF rate.
Gite 2 sleeps two and is large and spacious. It is open plan with large kitchen / living area, mezzanine level bedroom with en-suite shower room and an additional sitting room for you to read and relax in, There is a woodburning stove for winter lets.
Both gites have their own terrace and bbq areas.
PLACES TO SEE AND ACTIVITIES
There are many outdoor activities nearby such as walking, cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding, sailing, swimming, canoeing. Restaurants and bars. In fact just a short stroll down the drive takes you on to a cycling and walking trail! In the summer months, a 5 minute drive away is Aquaval, Lautrec's outdoor swimming park for all the family to enjoy.

We have a state-of-the-art solar water heating system which provides over 70% of the hot water.
BED LINEN and TOWELS are provided. Bicycles for you to use.

Wildlife in the Garden
We have 14 different types of fruit and nut trees in the garden which attract a variety of colourful birds.
Welcome Pack
Your “Welcome Pack” will have details of where to go for local produce of food and wine. Tourist maps for local events and places to visit. On arrival there will be a "starter pack" of some basic food items from the local area.
Aromatherapy Treatments
Sheda is a qualified masseuse and for bookings of a week or more included in your holiday gite rental is a complimentary 30 minute aromatherapy treatment for each member of your party.
Evening Meals Available
Tom will cook evening meals by arrangement. All we ask is that you give us 24 hours notice to enable us to source produce from local markets and/or pick fresh home grown seasonal goods.
